liiar analysis of nme music magazine

L- the mast head is bold and quite large this leads you straight to it .the font is very thick and block like this simple quality it has makes it very dominant on the page and in turn very bold
the main image is very clear but in grey-scale which seems slightly unconventional of a music magazine because the colours are sometimes used to represent someone whos just retired from thier music carrer and is showing a medium close up of Liam Gallagher who has not yet retired
the bright colour scheme of this magazine is shown clearly through out the contents page and double page spread
there arnt many thumbnail images in this magazine there more main images this could prove to be a downfall to the magazine because the thumbnail images help the reader decide weather or not its a good magazine and if they would buy it when they flick through it in the shop
the price and bar code are located in the bottom right hand corner again this is because it isn't a key feature but does need to be seen and the price of this magazine is £2.20 the same price as kerrang this shows that these magazines will sell at a lower price and can be produced well enough for a small amount and i should consider using a similar price in my magazine because this  keeps it affordable
there are some teasing contents along the bottom of the page which help the reader to find out about whats in the magazine and also to help promote the magazine
there are no competitions or free gifts in this magazine but there is a subscription offer which could entice the readers they havent included a competition or a free gift in ths magazine because it is more focusded ont he content and maybe the readers didnt bother about previous competitions if applicable
the main article does relate to the image because the article is about Liam Gallagher and it shows him on the cover (but i couldnt find the double page spread which links to it)
I- the publishers of nme are ipc media they have produced a very successful magazine which is hugely popular and can be found in most retailers . this shows that the publishers have got the magazine widespread acroos the country
a- the target audience for nme is people around the age of 20- 25 because the magazine seems a bit more grown up and the articles are more in depth than the other ones but this doesn't mean younger audiences wont buy it because they still like to read about there favorite bands
R- this magazine represents itself quite positively and accurately because it depicts the people it shows in the magazine positivly and gets the readers the articles they want
