liiar analysis

Liar analysis of C.U.E magazine
L- The masthead is large and bold and is a very vibrant colour this is ensuring it is noticeable and as you look at the masthead it draws your eyes towards the imagery and other text
The main image is good quality but is not quite a medium close up shot which is required in the brief but does represent the college students well
The colour scheme is very bright and a bit diverse because it’s using a lot of different colours but it doesn’t seem as though it’s ruining the house style
It uses thumbnail images quite well put could do to tell us what page the image comes from a lot of these magazines don’t do this and this is definitely a factor I should consider
It shows the price clearly that it is free and there is no bar code but a bar code would make it look a bit more conventional even though it is unnecessary
The teasing contents along the bottom of the page are better than other magazines because they look more attractive and provide useful information as to what’s in this magazine
I can see no adverts for competitions or free gifts on this magazine but it would encourage people to take one if they did
The main article does relate to the main image because the image represents a new student and the main article is about new kids on the block
I-this magazine is producing it for a college which I can’t find the name of.
I-this magazine covers some issues like new students and activities around the college but not many moral features to do with the students lifestyles
A-The target audience for this magazine would be students from around the ages of 16-25 as it is a college magazine
R-this magazine is representing the college positively because it’s making the students look smart and the college look a good place to take courses
